Parking

GIS - Global Integrated Solutions Limited (Sister company to ITS) manufactures the award winning parking machines Metropolis Series. Our senior management team members each offer up to 20 years of parking industry experience in the design and build of leading parking technology.

In the Australasian region we have installed more than 10,000 parking terminals managing over 35 million transactions per annum and controlling 72,000 spaces. Metropolis Series Parking meters are operating at parking sites in New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, USA, Canada, Ireland and the United Kingdom.


1995 
Since 1995 we have designed, manufactured, supplied and maintained on-street parking machines. By 2005 we had attained over 90% market share in New Zealand and six years later we remain in a holding pattern with over 90%.

2003 
We developed TXT-a-Park™, the world’s first truly integrated mobile phone parking payment application. (Operating in NZ  with all Telcos - with direct billing to phone accounts)

2004 
Pioneered real-time credit card processing by linking all of our parking terminals to centralized servers.

2007  
Launched the first Metro Mk 1 Pay & Display machine. Later that year it won the prestigious
Good Design Award TM in Chicago USA. 

2009  
Established the world’s largest Pay-by-Plate parking solution in Brisbane, which uses more than 1,000 Metro Pay by Plate terminals to control more than 8,500 spaces.

2010 
Developed our Pay by Space solution which is now operating in the two largest sites in Australasia where the machines are fully integrated to parking terminals:
 - Palmerston North 200 machines  2,000 spaces    Model: Metro
 - New Plymouth     100 machines     950 spaces    Model: Metropolis
We also began exporting to appointed Distributors in USA, Canada, Ireland and England.  

2011
The launch of our latest generation Metropolis Series parking terminals. The series is now the popular choice for oceanside cities in USA and Canada such as Florida, Fort Lauderdale, LA County (Malibu to San Pedro), Vancouver and San Francisco. 
 

2013 
Metropolis Series becomes fully EMV complaint with Tap N Go NFC contactless technology. The Metropolis cashless meter is also developed to accept credit, debit and Visa Paywave and Mastercard PayPass.
